Rundwanderung Braunwald - Oberblegisee
The deep blue Oberblegisee is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Switzerland and exudes a lot of mysticism because of its undiscovered outflow. Wild mountain streams and wonderful alpine flora frame this natural spectacle. This hike is particularly popular with families and for school trips, as it is ideal for picnicking, sunbathing and swimming.

The hike starts at Grotzenbüel (accessible via the Hüttenberg-Grotzenbüel gondola) and begins with a gently sloping path with a magnificent panorama of Braunwald's practice of Alpine transhumance. A path that leads across meadows and through sparse forests ends in the valley of the Bösbächi. There you can enjoy local food in the cosy Bächistübli Restaurant. A beautiful mountain path then leads to the Oberblegisee.
Pause and be captivated by the breathtaking scenery. Echoes of the impressive Glärnisch mountain range reverberate loudly. Head downhill from there, past the middle plateau of the Oberblegialp, to the mountain station of Brunnenbergbahn. The cable car takes you to Luchsingen and from there you can take the train back to Linthal or straight home out of the valley.
