An easy hike, also suitable for families and seniors, through the Freiberg Kärpf. On the way, you will enjoy wonderful views of the Tschinglenhörner with the Martinsloch. On the way, fire pits tempt you to take a leisurely break and enjoy a tasty sausage.

Suitable for school groups and clubs, possibly in combination with a GeoGuide Sardona.

Freiberg Kärpf, which is well over 450 years old, is not only the oldest game reserve in Europe, but with its area of 106 square kilometers also one of the largest in Switzerland.

Tip: The Obererbs Skihütte , the Berghotel Bischofalp, the Älpli or the Bergrestaurants offer refreshments along the way.

Public transport

Take the train from Ziegelbrücke to Schwanden and then the bus to Elm. Additional bus to Alpe Obererbs. Please observe the timetable.

Getting there

Take the A3 Niederurnen exit and follow the connecting road in the direction of Netstal. At the red light entrance Netstal direction Glarus/Elm. In Schwanden direction Elm.

It is not possible to reach the Alp Obererbs by private car.

Parking

Free parking at the Sportbahnen Elm.
